When our kids are little, what might seem like defiance or refusing to listen can actually be a communication barrier.  Think about it… Let’s say you give your baby a sweet potato fry, but they don’t want the sweet potato fry—they want the veggie burger on the table.  However, they had no way to tell you that, so they might cry, whine, or toss the fry off their tray because that’s the only way to communicate they don’t want it.  Or let’s say your child asks for a ball, and you hand them the small red one. But they wanted the big green one and couldn’t articulate that clearly,  then what you might be left with is challenging behavior because they are frustrated they received the wrong one.  So what can we do? Teach your child how to ask for EVERYTHING they want and need.  Not only that— help them navigate their environment with such precision that there’s no room for confusion. In my course, Time to Talk: Cultivating Language in Your Child’s Formative Years, I’ll show you how to develop your child’s language skills from birth through early childhood. DM me “TALK” to join the waitlist for my course launching tomorrow. You’ll also get a discount code that’s active for one week. #aba #appliedbehavioranalysis #behavior #parenting #parentsofinstagram #positiveparenting #parentingtips #toddlers #toddlersofinstagram #behaviormanagement #language #momssupportingmoms #newmom #momsofinstagram #parenttraining #parent #bcba #rbt #parentingishard #parentcoach #toddlertantrums #toddlermom #toddlermomlife #speech #behavioranalyst #behaviors #babytalk #parentsbelike #teachersofinstagram #babymilestones
