The one true good pointer is putting it into neutral, applying park brake, release foot brake, allow to roll forward or back till park brake holds then into Park. That does protect your transmission!

Park down hill or up hill up & parked in N motion is very risky if handbrake fails car will end up parks somewhere else 😂😂😂
