yeah I've been there, I do think restaurants should have a last order time like 10 mins before but then you can still get deserts if you've had mains

In our restaurant, the kitchen was to “close”, by this meaning stops accepting orders at 9pm. If they wish to gamble and turn things off/clean up early, they had to be prepared to use them again

We’d do this for the laughs to get our chef to stay longer. He’d always leave 5-10 minutes before closing leaving us all (under 16s waitresses) serving + cleaning his stuff and our own. We’d do it
