my mum didn't have my dad when my brother was born, after dads weren't even allowed in the birthing room when I was born, and he was and still is an amazing dad. But that was mum's choice, and he was still there at the hospital waiting. He held us very soon after birth.

I'm not an attorney but I'm almost positive that she'd get alimony and child support in a divorce. Plus half their belongings, unless there was a prenuptial agreement.

my water broke at 34w with our 1st & 32w with our 2nd and I had to keep my husband from breaking every law on the road trying to get me to the hospital. I cant comprehend how insensitive this guy is.

I'm curious to know how did the SIL know about the birthing happening. To me it feels like the husband spoke with her, so he had the opportunity to tell her to go instead of him with their mother.
