@thenewsmovement: FOR NEWS PURPOSES Illinois police have released bodycam footage showing the moments that led to the shooting and death of Sonya Massey. She had called 911 to report a suspected intruder at her home. Sangamon County Sheriff’s Deputy Sean Grayson, the officer responsible, pleaded not guilty to the charge of first-degree murder. Other charges included aggravated battery with a firearm and official misconduct. Grayson is being held in the County Jail while waiting for trial. Massey’s case joins a growing list of other examples of Black citizens being fatally shot and killed in their homes by law enforcement officers.
