If I maintain eye contact, I start disassociating for some reason and I can never remember the conversation. But if I let my eyes look around, it’s like I’m more involved in the moment.

When people try to see if someone is lieing they see if they look away right? So when I look away to the right or left I am recalling a memory or something else.

We need to say things before we forget and a lot of information download at once which leads to us not having eye contact but actually tapping into our heads a lot😂. With listening we only fixated if you get to the point and are interesting. If not then our eyes wonder off again 😭

No but like when your talking to someone and forget to make constsnt eye contact and they start looking behind them or above them because that’s where you end up looking half the time 🙈

No, it’s because when somebody else is talking it’s a lot easier to focus your attention on maintaining eye contact whereas when you are speaking, all your energy is focused on speaking
