The temporary closure is to facilitate the Penang Fellowship Ride – Bridge to Bridge 2024 cycling event. The ride will be flagged off at 7.00am at the Sungai Nibong Pesta Site. The cyclists will cross the Penang Bridge from island to mainland and it will be closed from 6.30am to 9.00am. The other side of the bridge remains open. The cyclists will return via the Penang 2nd Bridge, from Batu Kawan to Batu Maung, and it will be closed from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon. The other side of the bridge remains open.
