I live with my nephews… they clean their own rooms but 1-2 maybe 3 times a month, I’ll give it a good deep clean! It’s just a fresh restart for them. They are kids and cannot clean it properly.

Love this! My mom would do a mom clean every 1-2 weeks when we were at school and sometimes our rooms would be rearranged and it was MAGIC! When I’m a mom I’ll do the same 💓

My mom would occasionally clean my bedroom and as an “acts of service” love language person I was always so grateful for those instances. And will absolutely do the same for my kids.

I always helped my kids clean their rooms when they were young, to make it and so they could learn how to!!! Also would do it for them once in a while, to declutter, etc. my 3 adult kiddos are amazing

I clean my kids rooms! It’s just something I’ve always done! I don’t mind! My 17 year old is only here every other week and he goes to school and works a lot and I am home all day! He does help though

I think perception matters here. I would never want my mom cleaning my room as a child, but I didn’t have the same family dynamic your’s has. So nothing wrong with it-just a different kind of family❤️

Yes I totally think a mom clean is necessary every few weeks to de clutter and do more of a deep clean. Throw away junk and reorganize.

100%! Their rooms are part of YOUR house, so yes! You should give the kids rooms a once over clean as a mom. They do the majority of the cleaning but moms should still step in from time to time too!

I had to keep my room spotless. And I def raised mine differently - it’s a good habit to teach them to pick up some as they go. The amount of dirty clothes next to the hamper and the trash was a lot
