@imvictorialawson: When my husband and I were in high school, young and crushing hard, we had the opportunity to do a class project together. (Stay with me to the end lol) At first, we were super excited, we liked each other, enjoyed spending time together, and this seemed like the best thing ever..... Until we figured out what the assignment was. And it turns out, it was something we were both terrible at. Building things. (to this day we still refuse to buy any furniture we have to build lol) Why am I sharing this story? 👇 This is my fear for how a lot of people go into marriage. They find someone they like, there's "chemistry," there's attraction, and there's fun. But then you go into marriage, and realize that's not enough for a lasting marriage. You didn't understand the assignment, so you weren't looking for the correct things. Know what God says about marriage. Know what the Word says about the roles of a husband & wife. Let the wisdom in God's word inform your dating relationship.
