The most rewarding part about my job… 🥹 This weekend at Source Kids disability expo we got to meet so many new families who have similar struggles to us, alongside many familiar faces who we met at prior expos. Hearing first hand, face-to-face, that we help get children & parents out of the house with greater ease , where they once struggled , is genuinely the biggest joy for Nathan & I. Having 2 young children, one with a disability, made getting out for a day at the beach, fun at the park, or even shopping trips, a huge challenge for us when we first moved to Australia from America with 2 under 2 back in 2016. Often my neurotypical daughter would become upset when we had to leave places soon after arriving , as public places can be overwhelming for her sister (too much stimulation, sensory overload, crowds, sounds) -leading to meltdowns (which are different to tantrums). Both meltdowns and tantrums are hard, but as some families are acutely aware, meltdowns can often lead to missing out on social activities and experiences (which affect everyone in the family) 💔 We didn’t want to miss out on what life has to offer. And although we firsthand have seen how much the wagon has helped our family since we created it; it’s now such a full circle moment to be back at the disability expo hearing from families after years of owning their wagons, that they are going to places more often… that they would have otherwise skipped before 🥹 The truth is , the last few years have been challenging for Nathan & I starting this business. As many would be shocked to know , we still don’t take a salary and don’t have any employees in our business to help be able to scale and reach more families. So if you could like our videos , comment , or share, we would be so grateful. We hope to be able to continue our mission & passion to help families ❤️ So thank you for being here and supporting us.
