I love my Pinecil V2 but man do I wish it was battery powered. I don't think this will replace a good soldering iron like how a pocket knife won't replace a chef's knife it might come in handy

I wish I had that in the 70's thru the 90's when I was doing a lot of soldering. I've still got the one I bought in 1985.

open the bearing on the back of the fan and lubricate it with sewing machine oil. it'll run forever.

How's the battery life? That's always been the issue with battery powered soldering irons. I have the Milwaukee which uses an M12 battery. longest lasting one I've used

Good only for small wires. Definitely need a gas or 110V for heavier gauge wire. I pull out the torch for 4 GA ring terminals. I hate cold solder joints.

You should solder quick connects on your fans so you only need to solder the lead cable once. Could help you out if needed!

suggest an invention idea to The 3D printing company to add wire clamps to it where you can easily replace the fan and then plug the wire clamps back in place 😲

I’m just can’t see myself trying to solder with a battery powered solid iron. I just don’t see where it can keep up. maybe in a pinch for a quick job I don’t know. Maybe it’s worth it.

Just because it rotates 360 degrees, doesn’t mean it doesn’t spin 180 degrees. Your statement was factual. Don’t be so hard on yourself lol.

Never solder when the joint is constantly moving like that. A crimp is the correct way And stronger.

Standardize a connector for your printer fans in your environment. Then just plug them in when a replacement is needed.
