@haleybookholdt: Any dog trainers have tips for this?🥹 She’s inconsolable when she knows it’s time to eat so I’ve been dedicating at least 75% of our training session to a sit / stay / wait command and we havent been able to work on her other cammands hardnly at all because she’s too excited, lol. #puppytraining #dogtrainer #professionaldogtrainer #puppytiktok #newdogmom #dogmom #puppy #puppies #puppytips
If she’s not settling down, put a leash on her and use her meals as opportunities to train her. Hand feed her the kibble as she gets closer to the command you’re asking her to do!

It’s because she is a baby and it’s going to take probably 9 months to a year before she calms down a little it lol but honestly sometimes like 3 years

You could potentially start feeding multiple small meals throughout the day to curb the hunger or at least see if that’s what it is.

My Portuguese water dog LOVED these little toys from Amazon that you could soak in water so right before he actually screeched//nipped I would pull one out from the freezer and give to him

she doesnt get food until x time. period. no exceptions. she will learn. you have to outwill her and be consistent. maybe get a bark collar that vibrates or makes noise to keep her barks subdued

I gave mine puppy teething rings after he went potty and that way he didn’t associate barking to beg for food. He’s 6 and will just clink his bowl when he’s hungry now

I’m not sure if you’d wanna try and associate kennel training with food and meal times. Create the habit of sitting and rewarding the calm behavior for food—training is hard it’ll be worth it 🤗

my dog is now 1.5, she’s been an “alligator” since 9 weeks old to present day 😅 it’s def her breed but letting you know that sometimes it does not end lol…enrichment toys are a game changer!

Try hand feeding only, all her food comes when training. Work on her doing nothing. She sits or lies down and does nothing and whenever she gives you eye contact she gets rewarded with yes and food

My dog was an alligator for about 4 months…it was really difficult and frustrating because I never got the sweet lovey puppy only teeth and crazy lol. Lots of enrichment training.

Start training her with her breakfast kibble! This will mentally stimulate her too. Look up the "do nothing" game and use her kibble as a reward at dinner. Puppies are hard work 😅 hang in there!
