Where I live in 2007 my academy class graduated 37 cadets. In 2024 we have graduated 12 cadets. 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

But he didn't have any complaints or disciplinary actions taken upon at these departments. 1 police department he worked at wanted him to move within village limits and he said no.So the board fired

The point of those movements is we need less cops . They respond after crime so having so many is useless

The good cops go to red states to do police work. The rest stay in blue states and play security guard until they go to federal prison

In my 23 year career so far I've had several police jobs... Mostly I would leave for pay.

In Connecticut we lost our qualified immunity in the most restrictive police reform legislation in the country pushed through weeks after george Floyd. No one applies for open positions

We are losing more officers by the day. And I don’t blame them for leaving. Who wants to do a job where you make 1 mistake in a life or death situation and you’re treated worse than criminals 🤷🏽♂️

Standards to become a cop always been like this, nonexistent. The same mediocre males who peaked in HS, desperately trying to make their sad lives better, same bully, now on a power trip with a gun.

He didn’t have issues as the headlines indicate. He had jobs at small departments that barely paid over minimum wage. His only discipline is for hitting a dear. Blame the agency if he’s a bad hire.

Do your research. He wasn’t forced to resign. He worked part time at some places and full time at smaller departments to work his way up. Not uncommon.

In 2003, my trainer was an applicant with 108 other people for the first quarter of the year. This year we had three, and two of them were in the country illegally.

It was a bad shoot but most of his prior police jobs were part time police jobs while trying to get a full time one.

Departments are strapped for bodies so they get stuck scraping the bottom of the barrel… we have officers with 1 year experience as FTOs in some places.
