the thing is how do you send th oil to a lab before you buy the vehichle. I'm sure a lot of people selling cars will tell you no if you ask if you can analyze the oil

This looks like JLR ingenium engine produced in the UK from around 2015. The previous more reliable PSA Duratorq TDCI engines were produced by Ford group.

hi Dave sorry to tell yoy but this engines here in europe are very known to blow up because a manufacturer error in the engine oil rings so be very careful with those engines
