Studies shows that filling the blood over the filter elevates your % of hemoglobin in your blood after the transfusion. When not, blood hit the filter and can hemolize! Love your videos btw! ☺️

Save time and have the saline primed and ready to go by the time you get back with the blood to verify and prime.

shouldn't u prime with the blood so that ur first obs and 15 minutes spent with the patient is actually during the blood transfusion.

you can damage the blood cell if it falls to far and hits the filter. it should be primed above the filter for purposes of not rupturing the cells. Great video though

My hospital has saline mixed with the blood and i dont think ive seen a hospital that has it premixed already! So we so a single primary and thats it.
