So back when JD was announced as VP, which was 9 days ago despite feeling like four years. Someone put on Twitter that JD Vance admitted to fucking his couch in his book Hillbilly Elegy. This began spreading like wildfire, and even here you have people making edits of couches over romantic music. Well, AP fact checks the whole thing and says - this is the headline - “No, JD Vance did not have sex with a couch”. Well this set the journalism world ablaze because how can they definitely state that? They can say that JD Vance never wrote that but they can’t say that he’s never smashed a couch because they don’t know that. The AP then retracts their fact check on whether or not JD Vance is a couch smasher because it didn’t go through their standard editing process. This comes during maybe the worst 9 day stretch of Vance’s life with it being speculated that Trump will dump him because of the absolute shitshow he brought with him. Now several videos have emerged of Vance saying that women without children shouldn’t be allowed to vote. This has drawn wide denouncements from around the country but perhaps none as big as Jennifer Anniston who wrote: “I truly can't believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States. – Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. – I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”
