I started adding 8% each month late and it has seemed to make checks come in quicker. I absolutely have zero issues with people who can’t pay or pay slowly as long as the communicate with me.

I added $20 late fee to a $895 bill that was overdue by a year. Client flipped out and paid it a week later.

7% per week I charge for late fee. Noted on each invoice. Never had anyone past 2 days late.
