I use malwarebytes to check files for viruses but I wouldnt trust it with stopping a virus that has already started

its because you just used scanner. if you use Malwarebytes trial/premium it would stop it the second it ran

This is different😭 viruses r not meant to do this especially anti viruses r not rlly supposed to be effective for these types of ‘malware’ cause u can delete the mbr easily

did the virus get kernel level access? Cant say otherwise cause the booting failed even though it was a vm. But still a pretty good antivirus in my opinion
