Delhi Born at The Delhi Lounge Celebrated the anniversary of my birth with my family here 🤎! All I can say is that, I am undeserving of anything I’ve been blessed with including TIME on this Earth, but I’m grateful for it all: the good and the bad. I’m especially grateful for these people that have held it down extra for me this past year and really missing our dads during these special times! It was nice to spend some quality time eating quality food in a quality restaurant. I really liked the vibe…you wouldn’t think you’re in Irving and here are my thoughts! FOOD: • Palak Patta Chaat: 10/10 - Wish we had more! • Kadhai Prawns: 9/10 - Phenomenal Flavor, however there wasn’t enough prawns esp for the price! • Chicken Khurchan: 9/10 - Similar in flavor to the prawns and had more pieces of meat, but the ratio of meat to gravy was still off. • Saag Paneer: 8/10 - Our moms were on lent and this tasted ok at the time, but we took leftovers home and I enjoyed it even more once it sat in its flavor. • Vegetable Dum Biriyani: 5/10 - Just did the job! The service of this spot was excellent and I really liked the aesthetic. I almost felt transported back to my birthplace lol, but I will say it’s a bit overpriced for the portions. I get the up-charge for the elevated vibes, but the two dishes tasted somewhat similar and you can’t skimp a shrimp lover on her shrimp. I do however see myself going back to try more of the menu, because overall it was pretty good. Counting my blessings twice and finding gratitude and grace in the struggles that have brought me this far!
