They’re great. I usually mark unexplored areas, caves and catacombs with them. Sometimes exploring gets a bit overwhelming, so it’s easier to remember what you didn’t go through.

AND SPEND YOUR RUNES! mostly for level ups on yourself/weapons, but filling up on consumables you like using and whatnot will make death feel much less bad when all you lose is a minute backtracking

I marked all spirit springs with the walking icon so I know where I can get up/down cliffs 😅

I forgot the markers were part of the game I remember placing one once in my 1st run, then forgetting how to get rid of it, tolerate it for a bit finally getting rid of it eventually, never used again

Learning the fights is the fun part of the game. Learning to perfectly dodge every attack and learn all their combos. that's what's fun to me. it's like guitar hero of DDR.
