@trey.serna: It was nice being back home to celebrate Chef Willie Day, a proclamation Chef Willie Holmes received a year ago for his work and contributions to city of Houston. I met Willie years back on a morning show I was then on. He came on to promote The Masked Baker, a baking competition he was hosting for Houston-area chefs. He’s continued giving back by creating the Texas Baker’s Guild Award Foundation, a non-profit aimed at supporting students who are pursuing a career in the culinary arts.
