Easier way to remove water is to turn off the water from the wall then flush whatever is left in the tank

Mine was much worse than that following moving into our house and the harpic gel wasn’t working with the water in there. Rather than emptying it I found that they started selling harpic tablets 😊

Descaler liquid or tablets work amazingly, are cheap too without the bleach
