That's only because bad players of spellcasters decide what to do when their turn starts. Expert players start their turn having chosen their spell in advance!

honestly im playing Wizard right now. only thing I do is actions. I have like no bonus actions. my turns are incredibly short😂

I have to say, my experience as a wizard is the other way round - wait 20 minutes to cast a single spell while the fighters crack out their rulers for their 3 actions each 😬
