@mollysringlets: how to diffuse curly hair ✍️💗 for maximum curl definition and longevity diffusing is one of the most important stages when styling curly hair, it can truly make or break washday! here’s what I do (and why) ✍️ 1: always diffuse my hair on medium heat and speed - I’ve found that this is the perfect formula for meeee 💗 though I do always make sure to use a heat protectant beforehand to make sure I’m avoiding potential heat damage ✍️ 2: wait 5 mins before diffusing. this lets the curls set and helps reduce frizz. my hair feels wet / damp, but not soaking wet after these 5 mins ✍️ 3: hover diffuseeeee. make sure the diffuser touches your hair as little as possible during this stage. again, this helps the curls set and keep their shape. I’ve found that if I jump into pixie diffusing straight away my curls are more prone to becoming wonky and frizzier ✍️ 4: then pixie diffuse until your hair is completely dry. this is when you put the curls into the diffuser attachment. pixie diffusing will quicken up the drying time and helps create bouncier curls (the curls are pushed upwards in the diffuser attachment and start to dry that way) ✍️ 5: enjoy defined curls which last days rather than hours! the diffuser I’m using and love is the @bellissima.uk diffon supreme 💗 I hope this tutorial helps 🥰🥰
