I have the same issues but am not diagnosed I always feel like there’s a lump when I swallow I’ve had neck and throat ultrasounds and they find nothing but I get random sore throats too

Omg, I’m working thru this now. My thyroid labs were good, but I knew something was off. I requested new labs - thyroglobulin & thyroid peroxididase they are both high..I’m on levothyroxine

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s in 2016! Definitely want to make sure you get a Thyroid Ultrasound to make sure you do not have any thyroid nodules, etc. Hashimoto’s does make your Thyroid enlarged.

It’s an autoimmune disease. I had it. Then I had my thyroid removed. I think I’m still considered to have it? The thyroid can swell and press on your vocal cords.

My mom has Hoshimotos. She ended up getting Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma and had a Thyroidectomy. She is about 8 years post surgery and is doing great ❤️

Was dx with hashimoto’s almost 2 years ago I’m on my 4th med to get everything right. Some of the thyroid medications have worse side effects than others ! Ive had the lump feeling not often though.

I have it!! and yes!! I ended up getting gastric bypass because I had to loose weight and it completely helped my hashimoto's I still take my thyroid medicine but I went from 300mcgs to 80mcgs

My 86yo mom has had it for years-has taken same med 4eva (levothyroxine).she clears her throat a lot,dry throat-but nothing satisfies the feeling really. But that’s really the worst of it for her

4 hours before eating protein is when you have to take the medication. So take it at 4am to then be able to eat food.

Functional med doc will run full blood and fecal testing that narrows down to the T what you shld not eat, put on your skin, etc. I had to have special methylated B vitamins. It’s crazy what they see!

Hashimoto’s girl here 🙋🏼♀️chronic hoarse throat is part of it. Also, you should have an ultrasound of your thyroid. Good luck. It’s a journey I’m still learning from.

I have the opposite thyroid issue, Graves’ disease. It’s your thyroid inflamed. Meds will eventually regulate it for you.

It is part of it. I work for surgeons who remove thyroids and have numerous thyroid nodules and all symptoms of hashimotos but my blood work says “I’m fine”. Good luck girl!
