Na’ay po‼️🥥🌴🙏🏻🫶🏻🩷 The costume is a combination of traditional and modern filipiniana which signifies the life of Pagbilaoins then and now. The girls’ top symbolizes the tragic moment that Rita hugged the bloody clothes of Pablo. The skirt that has colors which pops out symbolizes the abundant life the Pagbilaoins have, that even when life gives you waves there’s still life with so many colors waiting for you. The boys’ top is similar to a soldier’s uniform that signifies the Japanese occupation of the Philippines during the 1940’s when Pablo fought for his family’s life. The yellow vest shows the optimistic character of Pablo that after a storm comes a beautiful ray of sun which shines through. The linings and portraits show the manner of living of Pablo and Rita - the making of the papag and the weaving of bilao. And the intrinsic details of the whole is made up of colorful wooden beads and coconut shells that marks up being a Quezonian. All in all, this costume tells a story - a history that will forever be known as how Pagbilaoins are called bayan ng mananalo na may tatak at pusong Quezonian.
