His aide, also wearing a suit and tie, enters from stage right and begins a conversation with President Biden. President Biden removes his aviators and puts them in his left breast pocket while singing conversationally with his aide. Throughout the conversation, Biden’s aide is very expressive and sometimes mouths silent responses. At first he reacts negatively to President Biden’s news about not running for president. Right before President Biden recites scripture, Biden leans over to the left and picks up a Bible. At the same time, Biden’s aide looks thoughtful and seems to be coming around to supporting President Biden stepping aside. The scene ends with the two of them standing next to each other, singing in unison. Part 2: Biden’s aide is sitting at a wooden table and drafting Biden’s speech with a quill pen. The camera backs up to show President Biden sitting next to his aide, nodding along with the speech. Right before President Biden begins singing, three chorus members, wearing jeans and a red, white, and blue shirt respectively, walk on stage behind them. After the fourth “Joe Biden’s Stepping Down,” President Biden puts on his aviator sunglasses and stands up. Biden’s aide is overcome with emotion.
