I actually got let me go under similar circumstances. I was stressed beyond imagine. The money was so good. Much happier now. Thank you dealership for doing me a favor. Better work/life balance.

100% the right move. I had a “GM” (and I use that term loosely) try to intimidate me as a service manager and I just laughed at him and walked off. Had a new job the end of the next week.

I worked at a dealership for 3 months, you had to be careful of everyone that came through there because they could be friends of the family, go to church, part of the booster club etc... literally felt like I worked for a cult 🤣
