My husband & I never lie about when we intend to be home. We have underestimated how long we’d be gone but we also have the courtesy to text & say “running way behind schedule be home closer to 8”

I have a similar thing where I go play D&D on Wednesdays and we end between 9:30-10 PM. So I typically say I’ll be home between 10-10:20 but if I’m ever running late I just say “hey running late”

I enjoy spending MY money how I want now that I’m divorced, instead of being shamed for my hair care while he spends 3x what I do on his PC. Asking for him to pay for 1/2 groceries doesn’t make me bad

It's normalized to complain about your spouse to your friends, things like "she's my old ball and chain" or "my wife is always right". It's like the only option is to just barely tolerate your partner
