@amputeekatyt: Realistically- I still struggle with mobility a year after the amputation. I can do SIGNIFICANTLY more than I could with a bum foot, but it isn’t perfect! I still have to use my wheelchair a bunch, I still have days I can’t wear my leg, I have days I’m on crutches, and I have days I stay inside and rest. There are also days where my leg works great, and I don’t feel very limited. But that’s not always the case. I’m constantly trying to be happy with where my body is that day, and not getting too wrapped up with things looking different than I had originally envisioned.
