I feel like I definitely could’ve been more vocal but honestly I felt like I had to trust her 😅😅 I was already scared as hell taking a newborn home so when she said to do that I listened 😮💨

When I had my first son I would put him in the car seat with puffer jackets until his nurse told me it was unsafe and I should put him in with thin layers so his straps kept him safe. I thank God for that nurse every day.

So with my first they never checked car seat, this time around they did. Thank god for military hospitals!!!

Biggest thing I’ve learned is not to listen to anyone who isn’t a CPST on car seat safety. Lots of people mean well but actually have no idea what they’re talking about.

Question my baby was a nicu baby, b4 we got discharged we had to watch videos on safe sleep and car seat safety from a ✔️list we had to complete. why isn't that a standard b4 discharge with every bby?

Even my husband, who has little experience with small children, knew that was wrong. No hate to OP, that nurse was so wrong for suggesting that!
