That is called a potato ricer and since I’ve owned one I will never make mashed potatoes any other way. Perfectly smooth and creamy with no lumps.

I mean, I knew off the bat it's a potato ricer. Have a nice OXO one myself with three different size ricing disks. But that twisty ergonomic, space-saving version is a revelation.

Just search for a potato ricer. Much easier, there are versions which look like a giant garlic crusher. Great for making gnocchi.
