the exhaust on the motor fail and it was taking in water. the captain moved the boat into shallow water so that it would not sink in the channel and shipping lanes making salvage harder.

That’s crazy, I lived on the Ches. Bay from 1976-77…it’s huge! They were too far in and they probably did hit a sandbar!! I hope not an insurance scam, as someone said. 😎🥹🛥️💕
