This is a genuine question but why say “20 month old” and not just a 1 year old? It’s always confused me why moms continue to say “month old” once they reach a year old

I took my 22month old to hospital last week with a temp of 39.4 and wouldn’t come down with calpol, poor boy was barely responsive so had to call 999, worst day of my life. Was honestly terrified.
