I’m 62 and I’ve been working on cars since I was 15 traditionally I don’t care what anybody says I change mine every 3000 miles you don’t have issues when you change it 3000 miles along with the filter

I’m guessing he used the incorrect oil. Seems to be the biggest cause of failure with the hydraulic lifters on these that I’ve have done.
