I trust a 10,000 mile oil change as much as I trust an engine made by Kia

I’ve seen a few lifter failures. 19 and up have hydraulic roller lifters with a new 45 minute wait torque sequence.

My 21 6.7 had the same sound at 84,000 miles. Dealer replaced cam and lifters. Can’t get an extender warranty because they flagged the vehicle for the repair.

that sounds like a cam, the new 6.7 doesn't use solid lifters, and we are seeing issues with engine nosies sounding in the middle. come to find out its the cam and lifters making the noise

Dalton Thompson :
that motor turned to a throw away engine in 2018 to many in seen with lifter failure cause throwing the push rod and most were doing 4k oil change w/fuel filters every 4k

Michael Brandt :
the 6.7 cummins engines that we run in the medium duty trucks normally do 30k intervals and we get 800k or more out of them with no issues. oil doesn't go bad as quickly as it used to
