The only thing I didn’t like about our home birth midwife. She did not encourage my husband to do skin to skin and I think it was a hindrance on their bond. They have a beautiful bond but he really wanted to and she wouldn’t let him. Said baby needed me more.

I remember doing skin to skin with my baby girl. She was born at 1lb and 12 ounces, stuck in the NICU for 91 days. The first time they allowed her out of her incubator me and mom were in tears 🥲
