@therapybysourdough: I have been loving feeding using a 1:1:1 ratio lately! My starter doubles so fast and it has a great rise🩷 #sourdoughstarter #sourdoughrecipe #sourdoughbread #sourdoughhacks #sourdoughfeeding #howtofeedsourdoughstarter #isabellesourdough #fyp
I finally just caved and bought dehydrated starter because I've made 5 attempts at a loaf and three of them were gummy and awful and the other 2 naver made it to the baking stage

Do you always discard and do you feed peak to peak? Mine went acidic so trying to figure out how to make it work.

I like to add my water to my starter, mix it up and dissolve it all (almost) then add the flour. You are correct. Sourdough stuff is so hard to clean but definitely worth it!!!

Be careful when mixing while on your scale as you could break the scale. 🥰

does it taste good with 1:1:1 ratio? or better to do like 1:2:2. i’m asking cause mine has been rising good with 1:1:1 but i fed it 1:2:2 last night to bake this AM and it didn’t rise.

What are the diff rations for? Why do you some times use a 1:1:1 ratio then other times switch it?

My fave way to keep my jar clean is by pouring my starter in a bowl and mixing everything in a bowl then dumping back into the weck. Easier to mix up as well. Give it a go.

So i have a question. When baking sourdough do you have to feed the starter right before using it or letting it starve?
