This was years ago but I’ll never forget it. The 911 call was very long. Woman sitting in a chair in her dining room because it was close to the chorded phone. She used a walker to get around but the front door was key-locked and the back door wouldn’t fit her walker. The 911 operator failed her. She didn’t take her seriously and was rude. The woman could’ve ditched the walker and phone and crawled out the back door - She would’ve had plenty of time and survived. But instead, she stayed in the same chair waiting for help. The fire trucks got lost (they said because it was a very rural area). You could hear the fire getting stronger, the flames crackling, the roof creaking, then loud roaring. Only then does the operator start to worry. Eventually, the actual flames (not smoke) make it to the woman and she literally 🔥 alive on the call. Haunts me to this day. RIP 😔
