Yes! I was interviewing for a role and the recruiter was an older ✋🏻man and when it came time for the comp chat I said 90k, and he said hold on ask me the budget first. And that’s how I got 110k 🥺

Unfortunately, most of us have this experience. My husband has even seen this firsthand. When he was under a BM they never would promote him but as soon as leadership changed he has been promoted 3x

My best boss was also a white man…and currently I have the opposite and I am micromanaged endlessly down to being questioned about fonts used in emails and tiny tiny things. Never complimented.
