@theaterofthesea: Check out this behind the scenes moment when we weighed and scrubbed some of our rescued sea turtles! 🐢 Weights are an important part of our husbandry training because it can provide us with valuable information about our animals. We always want to ensure our animals are in optimal condition, growing properly, and in the event an animal needs to be provided with medication due to illness or injury, we can make sure they receive a proper dosage. We will also use this opportunity to scrub the sea turtle’s shells.
