As a nurse you just need to work smarter to earn a lot more at NHS. If you work a full time contract let’s say 5 fixed days a week that’s what you will earn, chose less days and more bank shifts.

My partner does 2 days fixed contract and then does 3 days bank shifts at the same hospital and earns 2.5x the salary on those extra days making her salary way more. plenty of bank shifts to go round

As a district nurse it’s all rubbish for me. My car insurance cost me £70 monthly to do my job and more in petrol. Tyres picked up a nail other day cost me £10 to fix all from my pocket !!
