I do grocery store audits. Two days ago I did 20 and 4 of them still had one or more affected products in the deli case. Be sure you know what not to buy if you’re buying anything right now.

The FDA and USDA obviously don’t do the due diligence you think they do. That’s why this is happening. The current administration wants these functions to be back in the state’s control where it belongs. Federally controlled systems have proven they become corrupt or lax in their responsibilities. The Federal Government was never intended to take over all systems that impact everyone. This is a Republic of States. Each state should be responsible for oversight of what is produced in its state. This would greatly reduce both the instances of failures and the delays in notification.
