Competition skating is also tough because you need to pick the most difficult trick you can land but you also need to actually put up points, so you need one you can land cleanly.

People don’t realize how hard it is to land tricks on a regular basis. Real skateboarding is not Tony Hawk pro skater 2. You have to do easier tricks to make sure you don’t fall off your board. Even when you saw advanced skate videos where they’re doing crazy lines. Those were usually cut to make it look like one. Or they were doing them over and over again. Not done in one take.
