To be fair, I don’t like ANY heat 🤣 currently searching for places where it’s mid-autumn year round. No hotter and no colder 🤔💪

Meteorologist here. Muggy heat physically takes more energy to keep you cool (aka evaporating sweat = energy transfer). That’s why you don’t sweat as much in “dry heat,” versus 85° & super muggy. :)

as an east coaster turned arizona resident the biggest difference I realize is that with the dry heat you can instantly feel relief in the shade

As someone who has lived in both, a dry heat is way better. You don’t sweat as soon as you step outside

The humidity soaks your clothes with sweat within minutes and it’s gross being wet with sweat! The dry heat may hot, but it much more tolerable than the humidity any day!!

I mean it can get muggy in Phoenix in the summer with monsoon storms. Right now the weather isn’t too bad compared to last summer. I live here for the other 9 months out of the year 🤣.

But I don’t feel like I am soaking wet. The misters help cool the area. The heat is miserable though.

Everyone will say to go to Bianco’s and to be fair, it is amazing. If you’re looking for an experience, I’d hit up Durants. You’ll need a cab, it’s an old school mobster restaurant and it’s lovely.

As someone who lives in the Midwest and just visited Palm Springs, CA dry heat is so much better. I honestly didn’t know not sweating was an option. Humidity is brutal.

Hello PHX resident here! Working in the heat is so much better than a humid heat! It’s not bad to work in as long as you stay hydrated. The misters make it feel like you have a nice breeze 😂

Humidity is the worst. Especially for people with breathing issues. Every time I go to Florida I feel like I’m suffocating. I sweat profusely. At least in Arizona you don’t sweat :-)

It’s not really “better” though. That kind of “dry heat” sunburns you in 10 minutes. It made me extra crispy on the ramp in Denver. 😅

Dry heat: take a shower and air dry fast. Humid heat: take a shower, get out and feel like you need another shower.
