The water is actually the dangerous part - octopus are extremely strong and she easily could've been dragged under water and drowned, because it was simply curious.

For those afraid of being pulled down by an octopus: the average grown octopus weights between 3-10kg (6.6-22lbs) and they’re not particularly strong. They physically can’t pull you down.
