@erinmcgoff: Managing people is a skilled art ✨ So before you promote that person to a managerial role, or you yourself accept one --first think "Am I ready to manage people? And if so, what skills do I need to gain/strengthen to do this well?" #manager #hiringmanager #careeradvice #jobsearchtips #jobpromotion #corporatetiktok #projectmanager
This is something I'm afraid of later down the line. I want to be a designer and love what I do. Managing takes away less design projects and I know I'll be miserable.

I’ve always been clear with my managers that I don’t belong in management. Fortunately they are coming around to career paths for individual contributors.
