It also confuses the gate agents when we go down to check if someone is or is not on the plane which can get us in trouble for potential misboards, just ask prior to boarding about seats 😅

I’ve never been upgraded but a flight attendant kindly moved me from a row with 3 of us bigger people to a row where I could not be squashed in the middle. One guy was MAD 😂

Only time I have been moved to more premium seats are right before landing if I have a tight connection. Basically just put my luggage up in the bin, sat down and the fasten seatbelt sign is on.

I’m a flight attendant in Europe and I have only seen this happening with American passengers. And when I ask them to go back to their seat in economy they’ll act super entitled 🥲
