It’s all about the cognitive abilities and self direction they can be verbal but still not understand what danger is and have SIB behaviors .

Yes my son is verbal with autism and still was approved for IHSS. It’s based on what you have to help with more with due to his disability

I got denied protective supervision for my daughter becuz the worker took one look at her and said she didn’t think she needed it becuz she IS verbal @zulekhawilliams 1 yr evaluation is coming up tho
