I have a history of doing things that scare me 🤭 September 2023: I sold my car and other belongings, decided not to renew the lease of the place I called home for the previous two years, bought a one way ticket and traveled to countries I’d never imagined. April 2021: I walked away from a relationship that had become toxic and unhealthy. I had no place to go and no one to turn to. After 4 months of being “homeless + displaced” I signed the lease for the apartment that I mentioned above. Top floor, balcony with scenic views, and I was the first person to ever live in it. 🥹 this place became my haven, my sanctuary. August 2019: I moved from small town Mississippi (my hometown of 16 years) to Florida. Packed up my life in a itty bitty uhaul and my Toyota Prius (and Zeus of course) and drive over 20 hours to this new destination where I only knew one person. July 2016: I created my first business @livloveyoga a yoga and wellness center located on the public square in downtown small town Mississippi…which I solo operated for 2 1/2 years before closing its doors. October 2014: I quit the last job I will ever work. I decided that I would not do something every day that did not fulfill mean beyond monetary measures. I deemed myself unemployable from this day onward. This was the catalyst to my journey of self exploration and true fulfillment. I share this as inspiration (and as a reminder to myself) that your life is your own. Make it an adventure. Make it the best story you’ve ever experienced. Feel free to hit ‘em with a plot twist every now and again. Move at your own speed and tread your own course. At the end, wouldn’t you rather have a life well lived than a life of regret? Sometimes doing the thing that scares you could be the very thing that transforms your life for the absolute best! Do it scared. Do it imperfectly.
