Once you get a bite go ahead & clean it w/ alcohol, I usually just keep hand sanitizer in my bag and use that. It totally cuts down the itchiness and usually helps reduce the size of the bite as well

Well, Florida was originally a swamp. I don't have advice for you though I just avoid Florida in general (for reasons unrelated to mosquitos).

There's an electronic heat pen called bite away that burns the proteins in mosquito saliva. I prefer using repellent like Picaridin lotion and long sleeves for prevention.
